The working groups are organized according to the needs of CSRHN. The working groups work on human rights, civil society, state, national legislation, and international legislation with regard to human rights.
There are two kinds of working groups. The first kind is for specific issues such as the manuals. Those working groups meet once or twice in the CSRHN office with the coordination of the secretariat which facilitates the necessary logistical and technical support. These working groups present their products to the consultative gatherings, where they are discussed and adapted.
The second kind of working groups consists of experts, who have the skills and the experiences to analyze specific issues regarding human rights and civil society. These working groups meet regularly under the coordination of the secretariat to work on analyzing specific human rights issues that are needed by CSHRN. The results of these analysis help the network to make well founded decisions in relation to subjects treated in their workshops, seminars and conferences, the content of their manuals, and the statements on human rights violations in Afghanistan.
